When some people hear the word hypnosis they think of a hypnotist waving a pocket watch. Others think about Catherine Keener in the film “Get Out”. Fortunately, it’s not like what you see in the movies.
Hypnosis is most commonly used for weight control, smoking cessation, memory/concentration, pain management, age regression, phobias, depression, anxiety, sleep, and confidence. It is a natural state of relaxation that allows us to access our subconscious mind.
Our subconscious mind regulates automatic responses within the body such as sleep, breathing, heart rate, and digestion. It also stores all our memories and is often responsible for the range of mental, emotional, and physical conditions we experience, making hypnosis an extremely powerful and effective technique for long lasting change.
